Earth’s Best is well known for the variety of all organic, non-GMO infant formulas. Formulas available in their line are:

- Organic Soy Infant Formula
Earth’s Best formulas are found in a variety of stores, including Whole Foods and many drug stores.
Key Similarities: Bobbie and Earth’s Best
- Mature breastmilk/expressed human milk has a whey to casein ratio of 60:40 (Bobbie this this ratio).
- Whey is the protein in expressed milk/formula that is digested quickly by baby.
- Casein is the protein in expressed milk/formula that is digested more slowly and stays in the stomach longer.
- We go into deeper detail in this blog post about why Bobbie may benefit your baby’s digestion here.
- Bobbie vs Earth’s Best Organic Dairy Infant Formula
-
-
- Bobbie and Earth’s Best Organic are very similar formulas. They are both organic, non-GMO, lactose based formulas with fully intact proteins. The whey to casein ratios are very similar (60:40 to 70:30, respectively). Neither contain HMOs. The biggest difference between the formulas is the fat blend. Bobbie’s formula is palm oil free, while Earth’s Best contains palm oil.
-
- Bobbie vs Earth’s Best Organic Sensitive Infant Formula
-
-
- The most remarkable difference between Bobbie and Earth’s Best Sensitive formula is the carbohydrate source. Bobbie’s carbohydrate source is lactose from pasture raised cows, where Earth’s Best Sensitive source is 99% corn syrup solids and 1% lactose. Earth’s Best Sensitive is a formula more suited for babies with a cow’s milk protein sensitivity or intolerance (MSPI) who do not tolerate partially hydrolyzed formulas or lactose based formulas would most likely be the source of the sensitivity or allergy. In other words, if your baby has a MPSI, Bobbie would not be suitable for them since it is a lactose based formula. Otherwise, again, the biggest difference would be the addition of palm oil to Earth’s Best fat blend.
-
- Bobbie vs Earth’s Best Organic Gentle Infant Formula
-
- The most notable difference between these formulas is the proteins – Bobbie has fully intact proteins while Earth’s Best Gentle has partially hydrolyzed proteins. Partially hydrolyzed formulas are for babies who don’t tolerate full intact lactose-based formulas. In a simpler sense – big (or fully intact) proteins cause the body to “react” to the protein, which presents as an intolerance or allergy. When this protein is broken down smaller (aka partially hydrolyzed), sometimes the body does not recognize the protein, and therefore doesn’t react to it. Moreover, Earth’s Best Gentle is more suitable for a baby who does not have a MSPI and cannot tolerate a fully intact lactose based protein such as the one contained in Bobbie.
- Bobbie vs Earth’s Best Organic Soy Infant Formula
- Let’s state the obvious – Earth’s Best Soy formula is Soy based and not lactose (milk) based. Earth’s Best Soy Infant Formula would be more suitable for baby’s who have a MPSI or who’s families are vegan.
- It’s important to note that the carbohydrate blend found in Earth’s Best Soy is 100% corn syrup.
- The fat blends remain the same with Earth’s Best containing palm oil.
